"What is special about the program is the intellectual atmosphere created by professors and students. The overseas program combines great academics and a chance to integrate into Israeli society.
It was a wonderful experience that changed my life."

Intensive Language

Undergraduate and graduate students alike enroll in the Intensive Hebrew course prior to the beginning of each of the fall and spring semesters. The goal of this course is to equip students with the language skills designed to enhance their Israel experience.

Students may also apply only for Ulpan and earn a total of 6 academic credits upon completion. This rigorous course is offered twice a year, in the summer and the winter.

Students who are continuing with the semester program may take additional Hebrew courses as part of their semester coursework and continue to advance through the levels. For a detailed description of the various course levels, please visit our website.

“The intensive Hebrew enrichment program enhanced my ability to communicate with my Israeli peers. Having completed it, I felt better equipped to immerse myself in Israeli culture and to reap the countless benefits of an authentic overseas study experience.”
- Erielle Reshef, Indiana University, 2004 Spring Semester program
