"The year I spent on the OSP was the highlight of my college experience.
I enjoyed being part of a diverse student body in one of Israel’s most interesting and modern cities.
The people I encountered and the trips we took around the country were among my favorite aspects of the
overall experience. I now have a connection with Israel that could not have been achieved otherwise."

Need-Based Aid

OVERVIEW

Need-based tuition assistance is available through each one of the OSP offices to students who can demonstrate sufficient financial need.

Students, whose home school is affiliated with Tel Aviv University either through a general financial aid transfer agreement or through an individual Consortium Agreement, may not apply for TAU’s tuition assistance. Instead, they must ensure that their federal loans and/or institutional aid be transferred to TAU. Students are advised to request a detailed financial aid transcript from their home school's financial aid or study abroad office.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

To be considered for need-based tuition assistance U.S. students must submit to the Office of Academic Affairs in New York the following documents:

  1. Scholarship Request Form

The form is provided to all semester and year students with their acceptance packets. Please use the 'Comments' section on the form or a separate note to provide any additional details or explain any special circumstances, which you think may help in illustrating your financial situation. Note that incomplete forms will be automatically denied.

  2. Student Aid Report(SAR)

Your home school's financial aid office may have your copy, or you may download a copy from FAFSA’s website to submit with your application. If you have never filled out a FAFSA you may do so by logging on to www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Tel Aviv University's U.S. Department of Education's Title IV Code (OPE-ID) is: 008373-00 (or electronic: G08373). To verify online, please click here and enter code G08373.
  3. Form 1040

Your parents' most recently filed joint Income Tax Report (1040), or separate 1040's if filed separately; or your own 1040, if filed as an independent.

    Tuition assistance application deadlines:

May 30th for all the programs beginning in the summer (fall semester, yearlong or MA programs) - December 15th for spring semester

Currently, TAU's tuition assistance is not available to summer-session students.

Non-OSP students (e.g. BU Engineering, TASP) do not qualify for TAU’s tuition assistance. Students must contact their program director to inquire about such assistance.
