"My semester at TAU was a life-changing experience. As a result of my experience on the
OSP, I decided to spend my career working with college students who wish to study
abroad. It’s been ten years since I lived in Israel, but the memories are still as
fresh and powerful as they were when I had just returned."

SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS

The School for Overseas Students partners with other departments at TAU to offer students the option of interdisciplinary curricula each semester. Recent partnerships include the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of the Arts and the Faculty of Law.

TAU/BOSTON UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING PROGRAM

Boston University’s Engineering Program at Tel Aviv University is ideally suited for second semester sophomores in all engineering majors. It allows students to pursue engineering in a dynamic international setting while making normal progress toward their degrees.

The curriculum includes an intensive Hebrew language course, a Humanities elective, and 3 of the following courses: Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Electric Circuit Theory, Waves and Modern Physics, and Principles of Biology (cell biology). All Engineering and science courses are taught in English by TAU faculty members. Please note that some courses carry prerequisites but no prior knowledge of Hebrew is required.

Upon successful completion of the semester program, students earn 20 Boston University credits and receive an official BU transcript.

For more information and to apply, please contact Boston University’s International Programs office at (617) 353-9888 or visit BU’s program page.

FACULTY OF LAW STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Qualified law students may participate in TAU’s semester exchange program. Students enroll in a variety of law courses, combined with the academic and social curriculum offered through the School for Overseas Students. A sample list of specialized courses based on the Spring 2007 course list semester is available online.
