"I came to study for the summer, and loved it so much that I came back
in the spring. The classes were really interesting, the teachers were
great, and the madrichim were amazing. I learned so much and really
enjoyed my time at TAU, I wish I had been there in the fall and I would have stayed the whole year"

TEACH AND STUDY PROGRAM

OVERVIEW

The desirability of a graduate degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages is a direct result of the high status and prestige that English enjoys in the international community. TASP and TAU are proud to have launched this unique MA program in English. The English Language is being taught today in a wide variety of contexts and at all levels of education to a variety of students - children and adults in non English speaking countries and as a second language in English speaking countries. There is currently an increase in the need for well trained TESOL teachers and therefore there are various programs for TESOL teachers world wide.

The TESOL teacher training programs that exist in Israel have received major recognition in terms of their quality and research. Israel (where 35% of its teachers are native speakers) is known for its innovative programs, creative curricula and advanced technological materials (computer programs and instructional materials) which are exported all over the world. In addition, TAU faculties are known for their scientific research in the field of TESOL, publications in major international journals and presentations at conferences.
